Angels, The Akashic Record and Light Workers

Leonardo DeVinci

As in many things today which have to do with the spiritual, there is an awful lot of nonsense to wade through before you get to anything resembling the truth. And, like many things regarding the spiritual, there is money to be made.
I'll begin with a definition according to history and the origins of angel lore.
Angels
The word angel is from the Hebrew for "one going" or "one sent"; as in a divine messenger. In the Hebrew and Christian Bible, we get most of our knowledge of angels. The angels are represented throughout the Bible as a body of spiritual beings intermediate between God and man. They, equally with man, are created beings. Angels were created first, men after. Angels are spiritual beings. They also attend to God's Throne in the Court of Heaven. Angels generally appear in the role of God's messengers to mankind. They are His instruments by whom He communicates His will to men. Angels are also assigned as guardians of nations;usually nations in crisis.
Paul, in the New Testament, warns people not to be taken in by superstition regarding angels, or seduced by any religion of angels. According to Paul there are nine levels or orders of angels: Angels, Archangels, Virtues, Powers, Principalities, Dominations, Throne, Cherubim and Seraphim. Since the angelic army is often referred to as a Host, the number of angels in the host are vast, but not specified.

There are many who believe that each of us has our own, appointed guardian angel assigned to us at birth. There is little regarding this in scripture, but it is supported in some theological circles.
The Bible refers to good and bad angels or the Kingdom of the evil one. Unlike some who see good and evil angels as equal but opposite, the bible sees evil as far inferior to good, and far less in number.
There is no sign of any duality of power or conflict between two equal powers. Satan, a fallen angel, is said to be the Lord over the Evil Kingdom which is in direct opposition to God's Host of angels. It seems that Lucifer fell and took other angels with him, which is where we get demons. Demons are fallen angels and can never be former humans.
Ok, so there you have it as far as angel lore, from the source. Researching the history of angels and all of the writings on angels sends you to thousands of writings on the subject. Have a go.
As an aside, and because I am a visual artist, I just want to clarify where our contemporary images of angels come from. We often see angels depicted as cherubs; little fat, pudgy babies with wings.
Or, they are depicted as beautiful figures in flowing robes, wings and halos. All of these images come directly from Renaissance paintings. These beautiful images have stuck in the culture and are still seen today as the authority on how these beings must look.
It seems, in our contemporary culture, that angels are regarded as tools for blessing or personal gain. They can be contacted, they have names, they can be known, and spoken to through psychics. Messages can be passed on to an individual by a psychic who claims to have a personal pipeline to your own guardian angel, and more. Of course, there is always a fee involved in obtaining this message from your guardian angel.
Of course there is.
Now, on to the Akashic Records and Light Workers.
The Akashic Records
The "Book of Life" or the Akashic Records, are a compendium of all human events, thoughts, words, emotions and intent ever to have occurred in the past, present or future. They are believed to exist on a non-physical plane. Akasha is a Sanskrit word meaning sky or atmosphere. The Akashic records are indestructible tablets of astral light. These tablets can be read by special people who have the ability to travel or astral project to the hall of records in a heavenly realm where the Akashic records reside.
Of course, only a gifted person of a certain ability can actually read these accurately. Edgar Cayce claimed to be able to travel to and read everyone's Akashic Record. He wrote of his experience traveling to the records. It's fascinating reading. He describes his journey as an out of body trip to a heavenly place filled with light. It resembles a description of a near death experience, without the book at the end.
Of course, there are many sources in the Bible that mention a Book of Life. And most Christians believe that Heaven is a real place where God and his angels reside, and where the book of life exists. However, this is not ever something that can be accessed by living humans on earth for some selfish purpose by a psychic for a monetary fee.
Light Workers.
A light worker is anyone who devotes their life to being a bright light in the world. They understand that their actions have a potential to raise the vibration of the planet. They consider themselves to be very special people with psychic abilities to intuit what other people are thinking, feeling, or need in order to heal. Many consider themselves to be empathic, psychic, and powerful.
Light workers volunteered before birth to help the planet heal from the effects of fear. Each light worker is here for a sacred purpose. However, life on earth often creates a form of amnesia. They forget their divine and perfect identities and their miraculous abilities to help mankind.
One type of light worker is called a star seed. A star seed is an advanced being that originated from a far-distant star and galaxy, whose mission is to assist earth into the Golden Age. They are highly evolved souls with an unfathomable amount of wisdom hibernating in their core. Though they may come from a faraway galaxy, they have found a new home living here on Earth. Star seeds experience a total amnesia as to their true identities. However, each is encoded with an activation switch. Each awakening is unique and can range from measured and calm to abrupt and intense. When activated, star seeds don't need to be told what they are, they inherently know. They recall their purpose on earth and where they're from. While there are many different beliefs as to the origins of star seeds, their purpose is clear; they are on earth to be of service to mankind.
Light workers and star seeds claim to be able to travel to, access and read your Akashic Records.
Ok. I think that's enough definition and description to give you the gist of the subject.
One thing that strikes me as suspicious every time I do any reading about spiritual scams, is the common and highly vague terminology used. To help the reader, I thought I'd make a list of buzz words to watch for. The one thing these buzz words have in common is a vagueness of definition; anywhere from dense and difficult to understand to so vague as to be nothing and everything in between.
Here goes:
Ascend or ascension

There are two things that all spiritual scam artists have in common. One, they always ask for money, always. That will happen right away or later, but it will happen.
Second, the terminology or lingo used is vague to impossible to define or nail down.

For example, the word "energy" is one most used and the vaguest of all. There is actually a scientific definition for the word. Energy, to a scientist, is a fundamental entity of nature that is transferred between parts of a system in the production of physical change within a system, usually regarded as the capacity for doing work. Usable power, dynamic quality.

But to the spiritual scammer, the word energy will be invoked for a myriad of purposes. It is categorized as negative or positive. It is everywhere and affects everyone. It can be manipulated and used for good or evil. A certain system of "mastery" popular now and quite expensive, claims to be able to manipulate the energy around the body to heal. However, if you check out what science has to say about that, they will tell you, in no uncertain terms, that there is no field of energy around the body that can be measured, detected by any instrument or seen in any way. It doesn't exist, therefore, it cannot be manipulated for healing. If you choose to believe in an energy field that doesn't exist, and voluntarily hand over your hard earned money for someone to manipulate your energy field (which doesn't exist) in order to feel more "positive", well, hey, it's your money.

The Light Worker phenomenon has been around for a while. I have no idea where or when it started. My research has not come up with answers for that. Just be aware that there are people all around who claim to be, or actually believe to be, light workers.

They will try and sell you on believing that they are very special people, sent here to enlighten mankind and the planet. Star seeds, a type of light worker, claim to actually be sent from another planet, from birth, to enhance mankind, and you, specifically. They will claim to be psychics, healers, empaths, telepathic, sensitive, masters, you name it.

And, no matter what they claim to be, no matter how spiritual and powerful and attuned to the god or goddess or the universe or cosmos they are, they will always eventually ask you for money. Light workers claim to be able to psychically travel, astral project, or out of body travel, or telepathically travel, to the non-physical plane of existence where the Akashic Records are stored. They can, somehow, find your book, read it, and sell you the information, for a price. Light workers and some claiming to be psychics, sensitives, or empaths, will claim that they can contact your unique guardian angel and find out all about you and your future. For a price. I think the idea of manipulating angels for profit is specifically insidious. Watch out for the angel card readers.

I have recently been the recipient of a letter from "The Cosmos", in which they offer to connect me with my three special guardian angels. They tell me how special I am, how unique and powerful. They offer to send me things that will enhance my power; a Reiki bracelet, A tree of life pendent. All I need to do is hand over my personal information. (I have written in detail about this particular scam in a previous blog article.)

Come on.

It's a scam.

Watch out for terms like "Invoke" or "Manifest". It refers to powers used by self proclaimed witches.

There is no such thing as a white witch. All witchcraft is about gaining personal power, benefit, or control over others or situations. All for the good of others, of course. Right.

Beware of people constantly spouting rhetoric about love and light. They are hiding something, or from something.

I admit to having a thing about people who say that you should never say anything "negative". or think anything negative, or  get near anything negative. You must always think only positive thoughts. If you don't, you are labeled a negative person. And that, my friends, is the worst possible thing you can be in 2019.
Has anyone seen the TV show "Supernatural"? In it, two brothers, Sam and Dean, fight monsters, demons, and all sorts of evil in the world. They call themselves "Hunters".
In the Bible New Testament, believers in God fight evil, fight temptation, fight lies, and are often asked to  pay the ultimate price by losing their lives.

Are they just negative nellies? If they would just think positive thoughts, would their lives be happier, more productive, more successful?

That is the inherent message in scorning people who are negative, or who decide to focus on the evils of the world in order to eradicate them, or, at least, minimize the damage done by evil.

Light only shines in the darkness.

The very purpose of light is to eradicate darkness.

“There is no coming to consciousness without pain. People will do anything, no matter how absurd, in order to avoid facing their own Soul. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious.”
~Carl Gustav Jung
